Airhead’s 90 candy bar variety pack was created to give their customers a chance to try different flavors with just one purchase. The original package features an opening at the bottom (box standing vertically) that overwhelms the user with many different options to choose from. There a couple of problems a person can experience while using this product. First problem being, if you are a person who only enjoys one, two, or even three flavors this system may not be the best for you since you would have to dig through the flavors to find the ones you enjoy. Another problem I noticed with this product is that it is very disorganized and and can create a mess where it has been placed. With the help of the software ArtiosCAD, I was able to redesign a new and improved version of this variety pack from scratch. To fix the issue of the product creating a mess, I took a different approach with the design. Instead of the box standing upright and there being a flap at the bottom, the box will lay flat horizontally with an opening at the top for easy access and visibility of the items. To keep the candy organized, I designed dividers within the box to organize the flavors so that the user can easily pick and choose their desired candy.
