Op-Art has been around since 1937, and was first created by Victor Vasarely with his Zebra art piece. For this project I decided to replicate an art piece called ‘Dinamica Circolare’ by Marina Apollonio which is an art piece that uses a circle to create an illusion. Marina Apollonio is an Italian artist born in 1940 and is currently known for unique op-art. What made Marina Apollonio draw op-art was that she loved geometry and universal shapes. She mainly specializes in circles and she incorporates these shapes into her art to create illusions. I also decided to infuse the art style with a bit of Bad Bunny’s wonky personality which is represented with the use of the color pink and purple.
