Before I started my journey as a designer, I did not see type as a form or of art but rather just text on canvas or on a piece of paper. Once I got into digital art, I was exposed to so many ways type can be used as art. Type can be transformed and placed in areas that can appeal to the viewer. For this project, I only used type and a gradient background to create a poster for an event called 'Design Culture Now'. I placed text in specific spots and changed the opacity on some words to provide a sense of hierarchy. Since I am only using text here, creating and using white space in an effective way is critical. The name of the event is centered to the left of the poster and the rest of the text is in the center of the poster to give the poster a quadrant style of look.
