Netflix is one of my favorite media streaming sites, but there are features that can be annoying for the user. For example, Netflix has this feature where if you hover over a show’s thumbnail, a short preview of the show plays. The landing page is also overwhelms the user with content making it difficult for the user to digest the content. I took it upon myself to redesign the TV-Show landing page so that the user will be able to have access to all the information they need about the show to keep the user on Netflix and to also help the user be more decisive about the show. I included stats, cast, and a few more fun facts. All that information is presented on the right side of the screen while the episodes and seasons are in the middle of the screen and the shows to the left side on the screen. I designed it this way because in the original, you don’t get much information about the show, and all the information about the show is found all the way at the bottom making it difficult to find. Overall, the purpose of this redesign was to provide a focus to the shows by providing more information to the user and by making it easier to navigate and find said information.
